Pocket Pets

Just because they’re small doesn’t mean they can’t benefit from veterinary attention. Teeth can grow continuously in gerbils, guinea pigs, and hamsters. We can recommend appropriate chew toys, which may help keep the teeth worn down, however, some may require a professional teeth trimming.

Your pocket pet may also encounter external parasites such as lice, mites, and fleas, and internal parasites such as giardia. It is important that pocket pets receive general examinations and fecal exams to help identify these pesky parasites.
