Our History
It was a long time dream of Drs. Nia Perkins and Elton Vyfhuis, classmates at Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, to open a practice that provided care for cats, dogs, pocket pets, birds, and exotics. Paws, Purrs & Exotics Animal Hospital opened in the summer of 2009 in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.
Our Vision
To build a bond of trust with every client, and to become an integral part of the decision making process when it comes to our clients making medical decisions about their pets.
